THE HOW

How are we going to achieve our goals?

First, our task is to make the process simple. So we have streamlined the steps and will continue to evolve our SOP's until all the rigidity, bottlenecks and hurtles are as few and as easy to pass as possible.

There will of course be challenges to face along the way and we will develop mitigations as they come up. There is no dragon that a parent would not battle to defend their child.

As our numbers grow so to does our goals and actions.

Our final goal

This is not about making money.

It’s about choice—giving children the freedom to follow their curiosity and giving parents the freedom to choose a schedule that works for their family.

It’s about impact, not profit—every dollar goes back into creating more centres where they are needed most.

It’s about independence—we answer to parents and children, not shareholders or government regulators.

Our vision is to form a charity dedicated to advancing education in a new, natural direction.

Goal: Have all facilities free by 2035

Community Organisation

The Community Organisation (CO) is the backbone of Free Path.

The CO is the vehicle that will generate funds for Free Path to expand its philosophy and guide parents in this homeschooling revolution,

At different member numbers the goals grow and expand. Below are the uses for the funds

0-200

To ease some of the struggle and to continue on the cause.

Uses: Staff, outreach and printable material.

200+

Start the concept facility in CBR. To help CO members that wish for a OSLC to promote their area to start a school.

Uses: Hosting events and transport.

2000+

To help CO members that wish for a OSLC to promote their area to start a school.

Uses: Starting free OSLC’s in neighbourhoods in need

All funds are transparent and will go to continuing the growth and development of this movement

50,000+ members: Create a movement strong enough to change the world.

Foreseen challenges and mitigations

Right now (November 2025), our team is small and our resources are limited.

To move forward, we’re launching the Community Organisation (CO) and having real conversations with parents across Australia.

At first, the CO will focus on finding families who:

1. Contribute monthly to keep the mission moving forward.

2. Are ready to join a Open Source Learning Centre (OSLC) once enough other families (within 30 minutes’ drive) are gathered in the same area.

This will solve the immediate and ongoing funding challenge for the movement.

Challenges

Awareness

Many parents don’t know about Free Path.

Doubt

Will the centres even work?

Commitment

The membership can feel like a big step.

Finding Enough Families

Gathering enough parents in one area may take time.

Staff Recruitment

Hard to find educators who share the philosophy.

Sustaining Momentum

Parents may feel discouraged if progress seems slow.

Mitigations

Awareness

We’ll focus on running SM campaigns and advertising, creating simple materials, and encourage word-of-mouth through parents.

Doubt

We are opening a site in CBR using funds from believers and investors to create the proof of concept.

Commitment

We’ll provide clear explanations of how the funds are used, emphasize transparency, and explore flexible options.

Finding Enough Families

Organise localised awareness projects by attending and hosting events in the areas CO members want a OSLC location.

Staff Recruitment

Staff from new OSLC’s will primarily be chosen from the pool of parents of the current students. Assistance in filing any post still vacant with those passionate about child-led learning. Initial guidance from philosophy mentors.

Sustaining Momentum

We celebrate small wins, share regular updates, and keep our community connected through events.
